Please take extra care if following the WHW diversion to avoid Conic Hill (down Creityhall Road and along B837 into Balmaha) as the footway along the side of the road is muddy following recent heavy rain. Stirling Council are aware and will be scheduling this into their programme of works over the coming weeks.
Traffic Scotland has pedestrian safety advice available on their website. Of particular relevance here is:
- “If there is no pavement, stick to the right-hand side of the road so that you can see oncoming traffic. Keep close to the side of the road and walk in a single file.”
