Fundraise for the West Highland Way

Kimberly

Kimberly at the start of the West Highland Way in MilngavieKimberly Mauser set off on a solo adventure to walk the 96 miles/154 km of the West Highland Way in early October 2022 – whilst raising an amazing £1500 to support the trail itself! You can follow Kimberly’s adventure on Instagram here.

Kimberly said, “After some significant life events, I have decided to start the next chapter stripped down to my essence as a human and rewild. Weaving through the majestic Scottish highlands, the WHW is the ultimate host.”

The West Highland Way Management Group is very grateful to Kimberly for undertaking this challenge and to everyone who supported her fundraising.

My Peakers

WHW Fundraisers by obelisk in Milngavie

Friends Birgit, Conny, Conny and Heidi  walked the West Highland Way In May 2023 to raise funds for the trail.

Having originally met through My Peak Challenge, they came on holiday to Scotland last year and walked two short and different parts of the trail, including Conic Hill. They realised that the WHW needs a huge amount of maintenance and, as hikers, decided to walk the whole 96 miles this year to raise funds.

You can find out more and support their fundraising on GoFundMe or look out for updates on our social media channels: Instagram or Facebook.

Thank you so much for your support!

Tami

Tami and her friend Daphne came over from the US in May 2024 and raised over £600 towards the maintenance of the WHW.

Tami told us:

“I loved the uphill climbs, but the descents were killer on the knees. I also loved the stretch along Loch Lomond. The bluebells were outstanding! If I’m being honest, I loved every day – each turn had a new, stunning sight to behold. I loved the pine forests, the vast mountains, the blooming flowers, the sunny days, the BEST people, and best of all – not a single midge! Many parts of the Way reminded me of different National Parks in the US. I had the best time!”

A fantastic achievement and greatly appreciated.
