B821 improvements near Carbeth

Footpath on B821

Stirling Council has created a storymap to explain how a footpath was created to make the West Highland Way safer for walkers on a 500m stretch of the B821 near Carbeth.

A feasibility study was conducted, followed by an arboreal survey and tree removal where necessary, whilst preserving and protecting the natural environment as much as possible.  The Stirling Council Roads team then worked on site to put in the new footpath.
