The Bridge of Orchy 10k will be taking place on Sunday 6th November starting at 11:30am in front of the Bridge of Orchy bridge behind the hotel. Thank you to the organisers for making a donation to the West Highland Way. Good luck to everyone taking part!
If you are out walking that day, the area will therefore be busier than usual, with the race using sections of the West Highland Way.
The following information has been provided to runners:
Marshals will be present throughout the route, with a minimum of 3 first aiders present. As a reminder, the toughest part of the race is at the start! The first 3km is West Highland Way trail-running with streams, puddles, rocks and mud to deal with. Please look where your next foot is going to land and take extra care on the downhill.
The route will have regular km marker signs; please use these as areas to discard any gel packets or water cups.
The route will be open to all during the event and so please be mindful of this if there are walkers or cyclists using the route. Having only received positive feedback from residents of Bridge of Orchy, please give us the best chance of keeping it that way and be respectful of the area, houses, gardens, people and animals.
