Altquhur Byre

Altquhur Byre is situated right on the West Highland Way so there is no need to come off the path to find us!  Here you will find comfortable rooms and a great breakfast to get you set up for a day walking the West Highland Way or exploring the local area.  Altquhur Byre is a former cow barn which we converted into a family home and B&B in January 2019. We have a double room with a spacious ensuite shower room and a twin room which can convert into a double, also with a large ensuite.

Breakfast is served in our family dining room with a number of options available. For Sunday-Thursday night stays we offer a self service continental breakfast of tea/coffee, juice, fruit, yoghurt, toast & cereals.  At the weekends you can have a full Scottish Breakfast of bacon, sausage, black pudding, potato scone, homemade baked beans and eggs from our own hens.  Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.

Home-made pizzas are available for evening meals – Italian style thin & crispy base with a variety of toppings. Pizzzas can be eaten in your room or at our bench outside in the yard, and under the shelter if wet. Packed lunches are also available on request.

We can also dry your wet clothes and muddy boots for you.
